Der Brasilianer Jaques Morelenbaum hatte die vielschichtige Musik des Kubaners Omar Sosa für die NDR Bigband arrangiert. Sosas Programm "Ceremony" basiert auf alten Melodien, mit denen die Götter und Heiligen in der westafrikanischen Yoruba-Tradition gefeiert werden.

It’s been a great pleasure and at the same time a dream come true to have worked with the NDR Bigband. For me it's been an experience full of learning, where once again the brilliance and professionalism of each of the musicians of the NDR Bigband shone through - first with the recording of the CD "Ceremony", and then with the concerts - with authentic musical creativity, passion, and devotion. Thank you!

I hope that we can collaborate again in the not too distant future.
